Aufrechterhaltung stabiler Wasserparameter ab, die sich auf den Gehalt an Haupt-, Neben- und Spurenelementen beziehen, die von den Korallen ben\u00f6tigt werden.\n\nObwohl viele Elemente eine wichtige Rolle bei der Aufrechterhaltung der gew\u00fcnschten Wasserparameter spielen, wirken sich nur einige wenige von ihnen sehr signifikant auf die Gesamtstabilit\u00e4t des Riffaquariums aus. Diese Elemente sind das &#8222;Fundament&#8220; der Riffumgebung, und sie umfassen die drei Hauptelemente: Kalzium (Ca\u207a\u00b2), Magnesium (Mg\u207a\u00b2) und Bikarbonate (HCO\u2083-\u00b2). Diese drei Elemente haben einen gro\u00dfen Einfluss auf die Wasserchemie (pH-Stabilit\u00e4t, Alkalinit\u00e4t, Ionenst\u00e4rke des Meerwassers) und auf viele der biologischen Prozesse der Korallen (Skelettbildung, Ionenaustausch und Photosynthese).\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Skelettbildung<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div>\n\nKorallen bauen ihr Skelett durch einen einzigartigen Prozess, der Skelettbildung genannt wird. In diesem Prozess transportiert, sekretiert und konzentriert eine Schicht spezieller Zellen im Weichgewebe der Korallen die 3 Basiselemente (Kalzium, Magnesium, Bikarbonat) und andere Elemente (Strontium und Barium) in spezielle Bereiche, die als &#8222;Kalkbildungszentren&#8220; bezeichnet werden, wo eine Kalkstruktur aus Kalziumkarbonat (Aragonit) gebildet wird.\n\nDer Prozess ist sehr komplex und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehrere Wege f\u00fcr den Ionentransport sowohl von der Wassers\u00e4ule in die Verkalkungszentren als auch in die entgegengesetzte Richtung. Einige der Wege sorgen f\u00fcr eine passive Diffusion durch die Zellmembranen, w\u00e4hrend andere Prozesse aktivere und energetischere Methoden erfordern, wie z. B. eine aktive Diffusion durch Membranpumpen und Tr\u00e4gerproteine, die den Korallen viel Energie abverlangen.\n\nDer Prozess der Skelettbildung wird durch den st\u00e4ndigen Austausch von Ionen erm\u00f6glicht, ohne den Korallen keine stabilen, gesunden Skelette bilden k\u00f6nnten. In den Kalkbildungszentren fallen das Bikarbonat und das Kalzium als Kalziumkarbonat (CaCO3 &#8211; Aragonit) aus. W\u00e4hrend des Prozesses werden viele Protonen (H\u207a) freigesetzt und zur\u00fcck in die Korallenzellen gepumpt, wodurch ein kontinuierlich hoher pH-Wert von 9,8 &#8211; 10,3 entsteht. Dieser hohe pH-Wert beg\u00fcnstigt die Ausf\u00e4llung von CaCO3 und ohne diesen hohen pH-Wert w\u00fcrde das Korallenskelett beginnen, sich aufzul\u00f6sen.\n\n<\/div>\n<b>\u00a0<\/b>\n\n<strong>Wie unterst\u00fctzt das Red Sea Reef Foundation Programm die Skelettbildung von Korallen?<\/strong>\n\nIm nat\u00fcrlichen Riff sind die Elemente, die die Bedingungen f\u00fcr Korallenwachstum, Gesundheit und F\u00e4rbung schaffen, dank eines nahezu unbegrenzten Reservoirs immer verf\u00fcgbar.
