      MAX-E circulation

      The MAX-E circulation system creates a continuous flow that provides the static corals with the nutrients and minerals they need for growth, while mainitaing the water surface at a turbalence level that is optimal for sufficent light penetration and efficient gas exchange.

        MAX-E rear sump

        Start your reef the safe & easy way with a built-in rear sump that houses complete REEF-SPEC filtration and circulation systems. If you decide to add additional equipment, the modular filtration system can easily be expanded by installing an optional Red Sea in-cabinet sump.

          MAX-E protein skimmer

          The heart of the filtration system is the MAX-E protein skimmer. With a 900 lph/239 gph water flow and 250 lph/66 gph air flow, the MAX E protein skimmer implements Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC criteria and passes the entire water volume through the skimmers approximately 3 times per hour (with a 3 to 1 water to air ratio), which provides sufficient filtration for even the most delicate SPS corals. The MAX-E protein skimmer also has an adjustable outlet gate, to help maintain a consistent skimmate in varying water parameters.

          MAX-E media rack

          The rear sump includes a convenient media rack for Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC™ Carbon (which is supplied with the MAX-E), as well as extra shelves for the easy addition of other chemical filter media.

          Return pump

          The MAX-E 170 and the MAX-E 260 both come with 2,150 lph/568 gph Sicce return pumps, implementing Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC criteria and circulating the entire system water volume about 10 times an hour (the MAX-E 170 comes with a single return pump, while the MAX-E 260 includes 2 pumps).

          Chiller installation kit

          The MAX-E has a dedicated area for a chiller pump, and comes with a convenient connection bracket for the chiller piping (chiller and pipes are not supplied with the system).

          Optional modular sump

          The MAX-E features a unique sump system, enabling simple conversion of the integrated rear sump into a fully operational stand alone in-cabinet sump.
          Start your reef with the built-in rear sump that houses the complete REEF-SPEC filtration and circulation systems. If you decide to add additional equipment such as a calcium reactor, the modular filtration system can easily be expanded by installing an optional Red Sea in-cabinet sump.
          Red Sea’s unique overflow system, with its fully regulated silent-flow downpipe, easily connects to the integrated multiport bulkhead without the need for any cutting, gluing or emptying of the entire aquarium.
          The optional sump conversion kit includes a customized glass sump with a dedicated constant height skimmer chamber, a flow-regulated overflow system and an integrated automatic top-off.

          The rotatable screen allows easy access to the rear filtration compartment sump, while ensuring that the aquarium’s aesthetics are undistubed.

            Red Sea’s smart ReefLED 90 lights is the result of years of research into the lighting needs of corals. Uniquely designed with a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals, ReefLED lights are 100% reef-safe & 100% REEF-SPEC, providing optimal growth, vivid colors, and an elegant gentle shimmer throughout the aquarium.

            At the heart of each ReefLED unit is a compact LED array that provides a reef-safe range of light composed of 3 channels:

            1. A 23,000 Kelvin REEF-SPEC Blue channel, consisting of an optimum combination of
            ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs.
            2. A 9,000 Kelvin white channel.
            3. A dedicated 3W Moonlight channel to provide the low levels of light for reef-safe
            nighttime viewing.

            This array enables a wide palate of color that will please both you and your corals.

            All ReefLED units include a single optical-glass hollow lens that creates a homogenous light, giving a dramatic coral coloration and a gentle shimmer throughout the aquarium, with REFF-SPEC PAR levels that allow you to place your corals anywhere in the aqaurium.

            ReefBeat® app

            Each ReefLED unit comes with a built-in Wi-Fi that allows you to control the lighting straight from your smartphone, by using Red Sea’s ReefBeat® App. In addition to easy onboarding and seamlees integration with other smart Red Sea deviices, the ReefBeat App provides you with a wide range of easy to use functions such as random clouds, acclimation for new installations and a lunar cycle for the moonlights.

            Integrated power center

            The MAX-E incorporates the one-plug MAX concept, and features a power center with easy access to 7 individually switched power sockets for all system electrical sub-components. The power center is conveniently located in the cabinet, and enables safe and easy control of all of the MAX-E sub-systems.

              Marine-spec cabinet

              The MAX-E is available with a marine-spec laminate cabinet fronted with weatherproof epoxy painted doors, convenient push openers and soft close stainless steel hinges. MAX-E cabinets are offered with black or white exteriors.
